What would be normal source of Zinc in a calf's post weaning life?? Are we being starved of that nutrient in the food supply.

Before covid and discovering Drs Malone and all the rest of the assembled medical heros, spent my time reading books by veterinarians. Many had farms and/or served farms. Of course Dr Malone and Dr Jill have their farm. Much appreciate Docs trying to right the ugly failed Fed Medical Bureaucracy. Much appreciate hearing about Docs farms.

That said, couldn't convey it earlier. Don't do twitter, facebook and their ilk. Do Gettr with Dr M and occasionally Parlor (when I have time left to get over there). Good to meet you!

Just curious... What would happen if the calves were allowed to continue nursing and weaned naturally?

Depending on the mother she Wally’s either nurse down and become frail and skinny, dry up her milk. Remember these cows must calve annually to be at all profitable. They most likely couldn’t if the calves were left on them indefinitely.

I posted a link to this post on Facebook a while ago. They just flagged it as going against their Community Standards.

You might want to investigate adding Niacin (B3) to the feed. Pretty interesting stuff.

I’m have a plant based diet. I like all your posts but when it comes to slaughtering the animals I go with the Bible Isaiah 66:3

“He that killeth an ox is as if he slew a man;”

Thanks for being a worrier and advocating every day for the truth to come out on all this pandemic mess.

God bless you and your wife.

Shalom!

An ox is a beast of burden, not a meat animal...I think youve skipped out on something because you lack a clear understanding of what a word means, lol! Cows = food, ox = work animals. Lord almighty, I'll pray to Jesus for you.
