Lies My Government Told Me. What is the emperor wearing? The implications for the food I eat.
I was asked by the Virginia Medical Freedom Alliance to participate in the summit and Rally that was held at the Richmond Marriot on January 15, 2024. This is the framework for my 20-minute talk. Since the onset of the C-19 pandemic I’ve attended several meetings and rallies on medical freedom. This has to be one of the very best. The breadth and content of information was excellent. I’d like to recognize Dr Denise Sibley (who invited me to speak) not only for what she’s done and accomplished in the medical freedom movement but also the adversities she has overcome. Denise and I were classmates at the University of Virginia School of Medicine, graduating together in 1986. While I was not tremendously involved in medical school activities outside the classroom, Denise was a tireless leader and our class president. While we knew one another and were friendly, we never really got to know one another very well. Now I’d say we are forever closely connected in the fight for medical freedom, restoring the sanctity of the doctor-patient relationship, informed consent, medical censorship and tyranny.
I often wondered if any of my medical school classmates saw through the propaganda and disinformation put out by the captured regulatory agencies, medical societies and legacy media. Denise had those same thoughts, but it wasn’t until this past summer that we discovered we both were members of this very small group of medical professionals that risked our jobs and reputations standing for truth and our beliefs. We are not sure if anyone else in our graduating class has taken a stand, but we were happy to know that we both did. It is safe to say that we now have strong bonds that will never be broken.
Denise was involved in a head on MVA several years ago causing significant trauma that resulted in a dissecting basilar aneurysm and herniated lumbar disc. During Covid she was recuperating from this multiple trauma and regaining her strength and balance from severe dizziness. She kept her internal medicine practice open treating patients from home and paying her staff. She also, by the grace of God, treated thousands of Covid 19 patients during this time saving countless lives. And through her tireless efforts she was instrumental in getting Ivermectin available for use in Tennessee for countless patients. Guided by her Christian faith she stayed true to her oath and put her patients first.
Denise, you are a true AMERICAN HERO and an instrument of God.

Good morning, my name is Brooke Miller and I'm very happy to be here. I want to thank all of you for joining us today and thank the Virginia Medical Freedom Alliance for holding this summit and rally. I want to recognize Dr. Sheila Furey for all her hard work and leadership in the medical freedom movement, which has turned into a movement about FREEDOM. Sheila and I met two years ago on a very cold day in Washington DC at the March Against the Mandates. Thank you, Sheila.
The first topic of my discussion today is ‘lies my government told me.’ How about:

What we are up against is a massive propaganda and psyops war by powerful Globalist Elites, corporations and governments that wish to gain centralized control over our lives. This is a direct assault on our constitution, civil liberties, freedoms and western civilization.
There are many villains in this 5th Gen. warfare including the WEF, WHO, UN, Rockefeller and Gates Foundation. They use government and corporate partnerships which constitutes fascism with Marxist principles. Klaus Schwab the founder of the WEF calls it stakeholder capitalism and so proudly stated “You will own nothing and be happy about it!”
They use censorship through the media to silence all opinion that dissents from their stated narrative calling it misinformation. All the while, being the chief purveyors of disinformation.
How do they seek to achieve these goals?
A. Instill fear - global pandemics- institute lockdowns, vaccine mandates, closure of businesses and schools. Climate change hysteria- Use pseudoscience to control behavior, direct diet and nutrition and tax us into submission.
B. divide we the people-along racial lines, religion, political ideology and socioeconomic status.
C. Control the money- Reckless spending and massive debt accumulation, print massive amounts of a Fiat currency, create massive inflation and wreck our economy. Institute a central digital bank currency. (CBDC)
D. Control Health Care through massive red tape and onerous regulations creating a healthcare system that is too complicated for doctors and patients to navigate. This has pushed doctors into the arms of massive healthcare corporations and helped destroy the doctor-patient relationship.
E. Destroy the 2nd Amendment- disarm the people. A government for the people and by the people does not seek to Rule the People. All one needs to do is study history to see how that ends up.
F. Suspend Free Speech- Censorship of speech in the name of “Misinformation” is a direct assault on the First Amendment which is essential for a free society.
G. Control the Food Supply- Hungry people that cannot grow their own food are dependent upon the Government.
As a physician and cattle rancher, I have a unique perspective from a nutrition standpoint and food production.
Food Security is National Security.
Bad Nutritional Advice is Deadly.
Most have seen the photos of groups of people on beaches and other crowded public places comparing the 1970s to today. It is blatantly obvious we are having a health crisis caused by an obesity epidemic. What has changed you might ask? Certainly not genetics. Obesity has exploded over the last three to four decades because of what we eat and how much we eat. I contend this is a direct result of the government sponsored dietary guidelines and the resultant opportunistic behavior of the mega food conglomerates with their construction of ultra processed foods (UPFs) that meet these dietary guidelines. All for profit!
The dietary guidelines were originally released in 1980 and are modified every five years. They call for dramatic decreases in consumption of ancestral foods, animal protein and animal fats (saturated fats) and replace with low fat, high carbohydrate foods loaded with inflammatory vegetable seed oils.
They swapped:
Animal fat for seed oils
Real food for ultra-processed foods (UPFs)
Animal based for plant-based.
Protein for carbohydrates
High fat for low fat
The results have been disastrous. Today we have a population that is fatter and sicker than ever before in history. The average female of today weighs the same as the average male from 1960!
What happened?
A physiologist named Ancel Keyes. He published the seven countries study in the 1960s to prove his hypothesis that consumption of saturated fat from animals was the root cause of heart disease. He studied populations worldwide to prove his hypothesis. He started out studying 23 separate countries but conveniently left out the ones that did not support his hypothesis. An example would be France whose population consumed high amounts of saturated fat but had low levels of heart disease.
Around the same time the Sugar Research Foundation (SRF) paid 3 Harvard researchers to focus on the harms of saturated fat and deflect attention away from sugar. As you can see the SRF got what they paid for. Does this sound familiar? Far too often results in scientific research today is dependent upon the desired outcome of those funding the research.
In 1980 the government got involved in health and nutrition telling people what to eat and what not to eat. Despite limited and contradictory evidence, the Dietary Guidelines recommended the American diet reduce consumption of meat, dairy and eggs and replace it with carbohydrate rich plant-based foods.
Contradictory evidence:
From 1968 to 1973 Keys and fellow researcher Ivan Lantze performed a randomized controlled trial on adult males 65 and older. But they never published the results.
The control group consumed foods high in saturated animal fat while the intervention group consumed foods low in saturated fat plant-based foods. In 2013 results were published after raw data was found in the estate of Ivan Lantz. While total cholesterol did drop in the interventional group there was no mortality benefit and no benefit in coronary artery disease. What the data did show: for every 30 mg/dl reduction in total cholesterol the mortality rate increased by 22%.
David Ludwig of Harvard performed a study in overweight young males in 1999. One group included subjects fed a low glycemic index breakfast including an omelet, other groups were fed high glycemic index foods for breakfast such as oatmeal and steel cut oats. Each group was fed the same number of calories for breakfast. He then measured their response. What he saw was increase in hunger and an 81% increase in caloric intake the remainder of the day in those fed the high glycemic index foods as well as dramatic increases in insulin, cortisol and epinephrine levels.
The University of Chicago published a study in November 2023 that showed, transvaccinic acid (a fatty acid) found in beef and dairy products, enhances the ability of CD8-T cells to infiltrate and kill cancer cells.
The British Medical Journal in 2013 published a study showing that replacing saturated animal fats with plant based linoleic acid resulted in an increase in heart disease and all-cause mortality.
The introduction of seed oils.
In the 1990s Big Food started incorporating vegetable seed oils into UPFs to enhance profits. These seed oils are quite addictive. The use of seed oils/UPFs coincides with the tremendous increase in obesity and chronic disease seen in this country. They are high in omega-6 fatty acids and highly inflammatory.
Examples of these seed oils include canola, corn, soy, sunflower, grape seed and cotton seed. The extraction process involves extremely high heat and chemical solvents which caused oxidation and an increase in trans fats. These chemicals (hexane) are not included on food labels due to a government loophole.
Despite all this real-world evidence, our government agencies and the Globalists (UN, WEF, Gates Foundation, and WHO) all call for a dramatic reduction in meat consumption.

The War on Family Farms
During my lifetime, we have seen massive monopolies develop in the beef industry. In 1980 the BIG 4 Packers controlled 36% of the world’s beef processing. Today 4 multinational corporations dominate and control 85% of the processing of fat cattle worldwide. These companies include Tyson Foods, which is heavily invested in by China, JBS a Brazilian company whose owner spent time in jail for bribes paid to the Brazilian President, Monfort another Brazilian owned company and Cargill.
Through mergers and acquisitions allowed by the Department of Justice they now ruthlessly control 85% of the world's protein market. Through anti-competitive and deceptive practices, they depress live cattle prices and inflate consumer prices. Their profit margins have been astronomical while farmers and ranchers go out of business daily. Losing our ability to produce food as a nation by this assault on small family farms and ranches is a national security issue.
These multinational corporations exert their influence through lobbying, donations and anticompetitive and predatory practices. They control the largest and wealthiest beef lobby in the country, The National Cattlemen's Beef Association, NCBA. This Trade Organization claims to represent the BEEF industry, one voice for one industry (with competing interests). They claim to represent cattle farmers and ranchers but regularly lobby against us in matters that would be detrimental to the Packers from a financial standpoint. As a result, they use a lion's share of the $80 million Government mandated Beef Checkoff to lobby against the very people that fund this mandated checkoff, our nations family farmers and ranchers. Results has been devastating to not only family farmers and ranchers but also rural America and its economy. In the 1980s America's beef producers earned 63% of the consumer dollar, while the Packers and retailers captured 37%. Today those numbers have reversed. Packers and retailers capture 63% of the consumer dollar while cattle producers are left with 37%.
In the last four decades we have lost 43% of our nation's ranchers, 7 million head of beef cattle and 54% of inspected meat processing plants. Family farmers are getting older and retiring, and the next generation has been reluctant to replace them. This is not a bright outlook for our nation.
Examples of how our government makes it even tougher for the family farmer and rancher.
In 2015 the World Trade Organization (WTO) ruled against the United States based on the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) deeming that our country-of-origin labeling (COOL) law was anticompetitive and harming the markets of Mexico and Canada. COOL stated that all beef sold at the meat counter in the United States could only be labeled Product of the USA if it was born, raised and processed within our borders. The WTO awarded retaliatory tariffs to Mexico and Canada. In a panicked knee jerk reaction Congress repealed COOL and President Obama signed the repeal.
The Product of the USA label law then reverted to a former USDA ruling that stated for meat to carry the PRODUCT OF USA label all it needed is for it to be significantly transformed within our borders. Their definition of significant transformation is slicing or repackaging. As a result of repeal of COOL our live cattle markets dropped 40% within two weeks. This was devastating to farmers and ranchers not only in this country but in Mexico and Canada as well as their live markets dropped with ours. American consumers no longer can identify where their meat product is produced! And American ranchers can no longer accurately identify what is our superior and more desired product. The NCBA opposes COOL and continues to fight efforts to reinstitute this much needed law.
Examples of the greed and monopolistic powers of the Big Four Packers is further exemplified by what happened during the COVID-19 pandemic. Several workers in some of their large packing plants fell ill and the plants were temporarily closed. This sent rumors and shockwaves throughout our industry as live cattle market prices dropped precipitously and consumer prices skyrocketed. Average Packer profits per beef carcass during that time frame were reported more than $2000 per head. Consumers saw shortages at the meat counter and for the first time in my lifetime started being concerned about their food supply and beef. A light came on in many consumer’s heads helping people realize that their food does not originate in the grocery store. During this crisis we did not have a shortage of beef cattle, but we did have a shortage of meat available to consumers. This is but one example of why the centralized control of our food supply is so dangerous.

The Irish Govt has culled 200,000 head of cattle to meet Climate Goals.
Farmers in the Netherlands are being displaced from their lands to meet NET ZERO goals.
Western ranchers are being squeezed off much of the Federally controlled public lands in the west that they historically have held leases for.
In 1873 the US govt killed 1.5 million head of buffalo to make Native Americans dependent on the Govt.

Addressing mRNA rumors in livestock
Consumers are very concerned that mRNA genetic vaccine (I use the term vaccine as the FDA redefined what is a vaccine) will be used in our food supply. While animal health companies continue to research mRNA therapy in livestock there are no mRNA “vaccines” currently licensed for use in Beef cattle. There is 1 mRNA “vaccine” approved in swine but am told it is no longer in use. Unfortunately, the ongoing research has been opaque with no available information out there for independent review.
At our annual meeting December 2, 2023, in FT Worth Texas the United States Cattlemen’s Association became the first national livestock organization to pass a resolution against the use of mRNA in all livestock. This resolution calls for complete transparency of all research raw data concerning vaccine safety and efficacy.
While many family farmers and ranchers are more than hesitant to use this technology my fear is that animal health companies may use a disease outbreak crisis in order to get the livestock industry to adopt this dangerous technology. Very similar to what has happened during the C-19 pandemic.
What can you do?
Get informed. Be vocal.
Demand Truth in Labeling.
Get to know local ranchers or farmers. Source your food from the source!
Learn to be more self-sufficient. Grow a garden, buy land if possible and learn about animal husbandry.
Demand lawmakers and the Department of Justice enforce laws against monopolies and anti-competitive practices. Break them up as the government did to Standard Oil in 1929.
Support a regionalized, decentralized food system that is more resilient.
Support producers of your food financially. Buy direct and bypass the big food and meat processing monopolies. This will be much healthier and a superior dining experience.
Shake a rancher's hand. Become familiar with and support true producer and family ranch friendly agricultural organizations such as The United States Cattlemen's Association (I am the immediate past president) and the Beef Initiative (I am a part of) which is working to promote a direct person to person relationship between ranchers and consumers.
What should one do regarding nutrition and health?
Remove all processed food and ultra-processed food from your diet.
Get outside in the sunlight, breath fresh air, exercise and take vitamin D3.
Employ intermittent fasting. This stimulates the body's self-repair mechanism (Autophagy) which removes waste, harmful cells and pathogens from our body. This is stimulated by fasting, sleep, exercise, and a high protein, high fat, low carb diet.
If you need to reverse chronic disease, I highly recommend the carnivore diet consisting of animal product only including meat, dairy, fish, eggs and seafood. I have seen these reverse chronic inflammatory conditions such as metabolic syndrome, diabetes mellitus, hypertension, autoimmune disorders, inflammatory bowel disease, psoriatic arthritis as well as great improvements in anxiety and depression.

FINALLY
It is our moral obligation to our friends, family and future generations to stand up and call out injustice, seek truth, and fight back against the psychopathic globalists that wish to enslave us, destroy our freedoms, property rights, and western civilization. This will not go away by itself. We all must display the Moral Courage to standup! Is there a risk? Absolutely, but inaction is a far greater risk!
All that is needed for tyranny to exist is for good men and women to do nothing.
